I have the coil spring rear end... I dont know much about these era trucks with the leafsprings... so I can not attest to the differences there, the HD setup i upgraded to was also off of a coil spring.... but that takes a completely carrier setup. Sorry its not going to work for you...
Just out of curiosity what is th od of the spined portion of the shaft where the bearing slips on? On your shaft.
