The trick to driving an older vehicle daily is working out the bugs that occur in 40+ years of existance. I have a 2000 Z71 that I hardly ever drive, because I prefer to drive older vehicles. My Z71 has not been my daily driver in 6 years. I drove a '69 C-10 from '07 to '09 until I sold it to buy a '69 Camaro. I have driven a '84 military Blazer since shortly after then. Once you get the little stuff worked out, they are some of the most reliable vehicles there are. Of course, being 16, and driving accordingly causes problems with whatever you drive in and of itself!
