I run a long water pump in the stock V8 location, and I use a clutch fan. It sits deep in the shroud, and you can't use a spacer, but it works pretty well. It sure is a pain to get new belts on, etc. Not a lot of room in the front of the motor.

When I changed the engine mounts (which is how I knew it sat in the stock location - mounts have never been changed) I had a HELL of a time getting it to sit right, and I had to end up adjusting the shroud so the fan wouldn't hit it.

I'll be swapping over to a short water pump later on so I can get a better setup.
