It seems that 67 trucks had the parking lights independent of the headlights and 68-72 had them combined. The painless wiring harness is apparently set up for the 67 trucks. I moved the 927 brown wire to the empty terminal next to #929 (dotted line) as discussed in the above thread and they are working together now.

TBONE, that's a good idea for slotting the mounting holes in the bracket. That might work. I'll probably try that but I think I'll step away from that side of the truck for a while and work on the tail light section first.
I'am a little envy. I will be glad to be working on the electrical. My wife put a stop on my spending untill after the hoildays. I need so much that i don't even knowwhere to start. I am still on the cab abd sheet metal.
