Hey, new here from SW MO. Loving this thread.
Here's my 71 long bed. It's actually a GMC but someone put a Chevy front clip on it. I'll go back original when I find the right doghouse. I've spent the last year searching for a whining sound by removing the carrier bearing and going to a one-piece driveshaft, u-joints, rebuilt brakes front & rear, wheel bearings, wheel seals, complete rear-end rebuild (to 3.42 posi 10-bolt), poly bushings everywhere, aluminum radiator with twin fans, 2005ish split bucket seats, lowered suspension and back to rally wheels. Whining banshee noise turned out to be the grille so back to stock.
Oh well, built a solid truck in the meantime.
Next is a 355ci/700r4 combo, could use a good bed and the usual driving the tires off.
Always looking for parts.
