Truck is insured and tagged

I called dmv way back when to check on a 1966 SC tag I was looking at buying since we can run year of make tags as long as the number gets the OK. "Sure, you can run that tag". Fast forward to Monday and lady at the DMV says its a no go. Points me to the list of acceptable tag numbers and sure enough mine aint on it. So now I have a $20 piece of wall art and a regular plate instead.

I figure since I got the list now, I'll just see if I can find one with the right number when I go to the Charlotte Auto Fair in April and do some tradin with someone. Oh well....it just feels good to be on the road now!
