It is a new radio the other one was toasted. I think it sounds hood for having two speakers under the seat. The key to having speakers under the seat is to make sure they are pushed to thw front and stay there. When I had a bench seat they were always slid to the back and you couldn't hear it, but now that they are secure to the front they sound good enough for 75 mph with the windows down
