Oh just a very different power curve. Torquey down low, gets off the line pretty well, surprisingly well actually, but see below. On the highway it cruises very nicely and likes to hold its speed but if you lose your momentum for traffic or what not it is a dog getting it back as there really is no top end to this engine. Pass with care on the highway.

While if you put the coals to it you get results It's not quick to respond like a gasser and this is noticeable for in town stop and go driving, something no diesel really likes. It can make the power but it seems like you create all this fuss and commotion just to stop a block later. Think of it like an offensive lineman running sprints, once he gets a head of steam it's just mean to make him stop and do it again.

The 6.2 is much happier chugging along in an effortless way at a constant rpm. It's a cruiser.

Overall I have to say that it's a very good fit for the blazer, the overall drivability is very nice. Provided you are not in a big hurry of course.
