I just did the math, I have always been happy with the mileage with my 1991 suburban. I went to Edmonton last year and have the reciepts so I thought it would be interesting. 18.2 mpg and yes that is US gallon. The original owner said that he could get 21mpg with a light foot. and based on my driving experience he might be right. 18.2 is running 120k in a 110 zone. He claimed that if you could drive 100kph you would get 21, who can drive 100 kmh?
The burb is a 350, 700r4 , cold air intake and a K+n conical filter. Im not certain of the rear diff ratio, but its no rocket off the line!
