Kurt, Can you post a pic of your temp gauge at normal operating temp with the factory 67-72 sender in the 5.3? If so, we can compare it to the normal temp needle position on mine with the autometer sender.

I am running a 4 core 1972 GM radiator with the factory shroud and the mechanical fan that came on the 2003 5.3
