I removed a 350/350 from this engine stand and placed the new LS engine on the same mounts BUT I had to extend the front mounts (higher) to clear the oil pan.
the front mounts and the rear mounts are in the same location as the 350/350 with that said this new engine should drop into the same mounts on the 78 truck as the old 350.
DD said that the adjustment is the drive shaft, set the engine to the correct location as the length of the existing drive shaft, the shift linkage should fall in the same location as the old 350
