I had an 86 Silverado with a 6 inch lift on 35x14.50 15s on 12" wide wheels. never had an issue with rubbing.
if you have stock 15x8 rallies you could run a 35x10.50 with little to no rubbing iirc
Also depends on manufacturer of tire
