Re: Lambrecht Auction Underway

I had a 1967 truck that was wrecked in '75-'76 with 58,000 miles on it. I got it in early 2000 - 2001. It sat out side in the elements on North Central Texas. A whole lot milder a climate than up there. The truck was a rotted out hull of nothing.

Now I have my '66 toyota landcruiser that came from San Antonio area and it sat out in the elements for most of it's life. And sat unused from mid 80's to '96 when I had it given to me. With a mere 31,000 miles on it. This thing had three tiny rust issues all in the bed where trash held the moisture there. It was a whole different world between the two of them.

Now all the auction vehicles that sat outside, my dad was there and he said many were as bad if not worse than the old 1967 I had I paid $250.00 for a few parts.

To me just because the odometer shows minimal mileage isn't a great reason to spend big money on it, considering the climate and the location that these vehicles were in under trees. That kills metal because of all the build up of leaves, trash and moisture.
