Okay. Decision made, crate engine to be ordered tomorrow. Should arrive in 5 to 6 days at the shop. Meantime, I'll get all the info together for the shop on the trans install. We'll be putting in a new drive shaft too, so the old one can be saved along with the peanut for a resto instead of chopped. So, don't know where all the cash is gonna come from but I spose if I ain't spendin it on my truck I'd be spendin it on guns or corn for cheep floozies. Ah well. All new leaves me only 4 rear end bushings and two rear shackles to go to a completely mechanically done truck.

Course, the new shifter boot will prolly look so good that I'll have ta replace the somewhat ratty original rubber floor mat....does it ever end?
