slomotion: I used an original 1920's Turner Toys fire truck as a pattern for mine. Replacement wheels were available for the Turner Toys truck so I used them on that one. The ladders were available too but I decided to make my own. The company I bought them from was called Thomas Toys, Inc.

Here are a couple of pictures of the first one I made and it is exactly like the original toy. I didn't know about the reproduction wheels and headlight buckets at that time so I used the wheels off of one of the kids small toy wagons on it...... You can also see that there are no headlights on them but there should be. This one doesn't have the brass radiator shell on it either.
