I'd have to agree, argon gas is a protective layer from oxygen, which can at a moleculor level cataminate the arc and make it weaker. However there is other migs like the chicago electric 90 amp flux core from harbor frieght, which comes with the wire ect. But I'd like a argon wire feed over this any day, just a lot cheaper. Don't get me wrong, settings and stuff are excellent, doing welds aren't hard but keeping a beed going is the tough part since its non gas mig, and oxygen disrupts the arc
