what you done will work but your going to loose the chimes and rap. other option is a chime box harness there about 30 some bucks at walmart. you can change a 12 trucks radio btw and get a swc control adapters. my 04 has the harness splice cause idgaf about the chimes. the saturn had the chime box. scosche from walmart one. metra and pac ones cost double and arent as good really.
