Keep looking for a short bed truck. If your gonna have it done you can buy a short for the money difference it is gonna cost to change. If your gonna have some body cut down a bed as apposed to buying a bed you looking a large money there too the job is not all that part intensive as you can tell, it is labor intensive as he??. I own a body shop I see your new here so welcome to the site. I rebuild wrecks [late model] trucks and SUV's for a living, and restore old muscle cars and old trucks for fun. I have two trucks that are long that I am building back as shorts but I am not cutting them, frame or bed. One reason is I don't I don't have that kind of time to do all the metal work to make the 10 cuts and welds on the bed and the 4 that the frame take are no biggie but I replaced both frame and bed with used stuff that the condition was such that it was in my favor to use.
