I made some more progress today. Started by putting the trans output shaft seal in, and filling the trans back up. Took it for another short test drive and parked it out in the driveway so I could clean up my shop a bit. I had accumulated such a mess that it was getting difficult to work.
After that, I decided to tear into a little of the bodywork/rust repair. First on the list was the trim holes in my replacement fender:
