Cool project!
Like you, I'm not made of endless funds. Even more, I don't have endless room. I always liked those old ECO Tireflator stations that the old service stations had. They go for $700-$900 unrestored!
So, for $35 at the local sign shop using a photo I cut the background out of and a piece of scrap steel I had lying around for a hook, I got the same feel and utility.
