The cab had a stupid little hole in the roof where someone had put an antenna. That kind of stuff just bugs the crap out of me. Anyway here is the repair of the hole. I forgot to take a picture of the hole before made it into a rectangle.

I used a pencil grinder with a small cut off wheel to do the repair. I am sure that a regular die grinder and cut off wheel would work but I wanted the accuracy of the pencil grinder. Cut the patch on the band saw and flanged the ends to keep it in place for welding.

This repair came out pretty good considering it was right in the middle of the roof.

As a side note. The magnet I used in the picture is a super strong mag base I use for holding indicators and many other things. The welder Does funny things when that strong of a magnet is being used. When I was tacking the pcs in place it was as if the metal was rejecting the weld. Anyway I will have to do a bit of research to see why it did that.
