A lot of good help and idea's on here, sounds like your figuring it out, a bit of a drop, fairly stock body with green of choice and around a 350hp 5.7 with overdrive and a 3.42 to 3.73 ratio, would like a 3.73 with the overdrive and lower 1st gear myself as my 2wd has. Think your in the right ball park around 35k, very realistic. Body and paint is not cheap and neither is a powertrain with brake work and suspension added in also. Sounds like a very good vision on this build and special part is a family truck, keep us posted, sneak a few pics of it in progress if you can.
