2 Piece Driveshaft question for a bagged 71 Suburban

Not having any luck over in the suspension area so I'll ask it here.

First of all, I have a 4L60E transmission and my front shaft has already been cut and the carrier bearing has been installed. My question is what is the best option for the rear, a slip yoke? What's the best way to measure so I can give them the correct measurements at the driveshaft shop. Is it a measurement of all the way aired out and then at max height?

The front shaft is original, it is just shortened at the yoke end.

Also, are there any parts (slip joints) from other vehicles I can use to lessen the cost from having an entire new one made?

Thanks for any suggestions.
