I think it's pretty cheesy that for $40, or $50K, the top wasn't done. That's just not suitable in my book. Something like that will make me move on to the next one.

You can spend wads of cash on a vehicle, but you'd best be planning on keeping it. You can flip an old Shelby, Ferrari, Duesenberg, or Yenko Camaro. It's got to be a car of that ilk for it to happen, though. Otherwise you're doing it for yourself.

If it has to be sold, while there may be one person out there who would buy it, you need to know how many of those people there are and have the cash- and of all the people that will look at it, how many will like what's been done to it?. Especially if it has a ton of mods- so someone would need to have a buyer with the same tastes. Your chances will improve on getting money out of it if you take back to something like stock. The market is much bigger for that.
