Tried to start the truck the other day. Makes it hard when there's no STARTER!!! Something my cousin didn't mention.
Now we have to haul it to by buddy's place. He's a big block guy so he has starters and all kinds of parts.
We've decided if the "knock" isn't anything serious I'll keep the motor. If it's going to be costly to rebuild I'll pull it and put in my straight six.

I haven't had much experience with truck chassis before so I have couple of questions.
I would like to lower it, so the top of the tire is even with the lip of the fender, maybe 3" and 4". Will just changing out the front and rear coils be enough?

I want to run 15" WW tires on steel rims with 'caps. Do the tires need to be truck tires for a C10 short box? I don't plan on hauling much in it.
Any recommendations on tire size. I'm thinking wider in the rear.
