Re: Shane's build thread

406 SBC Version 3.0! The basics have been the same since I originally put it together in 2008.

V1.0 - Was carbureted, Holley 300-36, 750 DP

V2.0 - Is the way the engine was equipped at the beginning of the truck build

For the rebuild here I swapped the Miniram for a 4150 multipoint single plane. The manifold/rails/TB are the Accel Proram items. For the rebuild, I had to replace cam/lifters/rockers/pushrods.

The only hurdles to clear with the new set up, was a return spring bracket. It also required new valve covers to clear the FPR. I also figured out, that due to the raised valve cover rails on my Brodix heads, short covers fit over the roller rockers/polylocks. I like the look of the short covers better and they are easier to work around.

Without further ado...

Here is the return spring bracket. The block is from an off the shelf bracket that I couldnt make work. Co-worker cut the 1/4" flat portion on his garage 3-axis CNC.
