I've got a few pictures on my iPhone so thought I should update this thread.

I patched up the hole in my floor late from where the 4-speed shifter was. I did it on a Sunday night and had to make do with what I could buy from Home Depot late at night, but it is patched up and will do for now

The hole was pretty ugly. Looks like it was a V8 high hump and someone had to cut it open a bit for the 6 cyl shifter location and they also did a pretty rough job of patching the hole.
