Keep in mind, I have no idea what I'm talking about.
But, from what I gather...that engine is over cammed and struggles down low. That said, I can't imagine it being less powerful than your current 175hp 350.
It doesn't sound like you're asking too much out of the performance, I really don't see how you would be unsatisfied.
