Thumbs up Re: What did you do to your truck today? Chapter II

I am loving the seasonal wall paper ! .

I spent some hours yesterday cleaning 292 engine covers & stuff in the solvent tank and made a serious discovery ~ the 1977 timing chest is *much* thinner steel than is the old 1964 one , there are numerous changes in how it was manufactured too so I'll be taking the extra time to de rust the 1964 one and use it on my '69 .

The good thing is : the lighter '77 cover didn't leak atall so it's a good used part , maybe I'll install a new seal and re paint it correct GMC/Chevrolet Red and offer it cheaply on E-ay .

I hope to get more tear down works done to - day , the sun is rising so my achy old bones and injuries might give me a break in the pain dept .

Truly , these ARE ' Mistresses ' ! .

Cheaper and BETTER than any modern truck I can buy .
