I have a friend painted his old hot rod a shiny black. Well, after painting it, he color/wet sanded the paint and it looked like black primer. Before he started on the buffing stage (to bring the shine back), he decided to drive it to a local show. He got so many compliments, and so many loved its "rat rod" look, that he just said hell with buffing it, I'm leaving it flat black.
