I believe the "Engine Conversion" refers to emission equipment applied at the factory for CA trucks.

RPO Z20 engine conversion , the conversion was to RPO K19 which is "Air Injection Reactor" or A.I.R. / Smog . You might notice extra groove pulleys or pipe plugs in the exhaust manifolds or an extra tube coming out the air cleaner base. Nice truck. Likeing the black one to !
