I don't know how I feel about this.
When I was building RAT, The Boss and I went to a Members place and bought the bench seat
that had just been redone and recovered. 1971 GMC bench seat for $160.
Then, just before I started the last stages of the interior, one my pals asked if I wanted a
"return" of some leather Suburban seats that I had sold him for a
c-note.
I put the buckets in...along with a Manny, Moe, and Jack $60 console. Comfortable, electric,
and adjustable in every way, it seems.
Then, after paint I decided to try out the bench seat.
I like the way it looks. I can easily carry three people...which happens almost never...
...it's comfortable to sit on. But the stock seats sit high and close.
I gave the leather seats back...so, I guess it's the bench stocker for the near future.
Today, I almost finished shortening the steering column. Nice to have two people for that job.
If I had another person, it would have only taken one day..or less.
With just me? I'll be on the on the third day half-day tomorrow.
Or whenever I recover.
