I hope you mean 2.5 degree shim.
you need to get a real number for caster. that may well be all of the problem. steering stabilizers are a must. they are there for a reason. they dont fix problems but they do dampen cyclic motion and that helps keep death wobble from starting. that is why they are there from the get go. as a valid part of the steering system.
death wobble wont be fixed with a track bar, but it is a good idea.
what axle are you running? sounds like a 10b or d44, the caster needs to be in the 5-8ish range positive for those. more or less than that can give you death wobble. crappy balance on the tires wont help it either.
