I don't have white walls but I wanted the rim edge white so did the whole rim. I put my old dog dish caps on for now which I like also and when they start to look a little haggered or I'm in need of a change I'll put the full covers on. I'd like to put one on to see what it looks like but I'm sure I'll scratch the rim.

Your wheels look wider than stock--it may just be the fresh paint. I like the look with clean white wheels and the small caps.
I'm glad you posted the pic of the full wheel covers. Mine were from a '77, which were gold in the bowtie and the ring around it. When I detailed them I did it from memory and made the bowtie
and the ring blue. I knew something didn't look right!
