I just did a pinion seal two weeks ago. Easy! Pull the yoke off, pull out the old seal, clean off the flange, third member, and the pinion. I used rtv on the flange and it doesnt seem to be leaking (truck isnt on the road yet) striaght forward as can be. Make sure you clean ALL the grime out of the yoke before you put a socket on it, otherwise it WILL round off. The socket was a 2 5/8 on mine with a cotter pin. Hope this helps
