I just love it when we get on a subject that strikes a chord that makes everyone think they have to chime in with a *correcting* retort. Regardless if it's on or off the original topic.
Bringing the parenting/kid thing into the discussion reminds me of the generally accepted principle in debating:
The first side to mention Hitler in support, offense, or defense of any point loses immediately.
