Re: Simple '49 Truck

Sid,
I need a new spring because the window regulator I have doesn’t have one. The driver’s side has one and the passengers is missing. I think i found one for a '38 chevy car that will work. I’ll try to remember to get dimensions tonight.
The wheels are steel so we’re going to cut out the center move it forward an inch and weld it back in. It’s the cheapest, quickest fix so figured we’d start there. If it doesn’t work hopefully I can sell them and will have to order new ones.

Dan,
I sprayed in the liner with the gun that comes with the kit. Bought it off Amazon for cheap. I just have a little pancake compressor at the house and it ran the entire time but kept up. I had the gun set at around 50psi. The cab was sand blasted and primed before getting painted so I had a clean surface to start with.

99,
Are you talking about lizard skin? If so I considered using it but just couldn’t get myself to pull the trigger. They have both a thermal and acoustic mix and using both of them is spendy.
