Next job was to drop the front sump out and fit a rear sump from a hummer, turns out that f@cker is really deep and hangs a little low, so later I will swap it for a Camaro one. But here it is painted and mounted anyway.
The dip stick no longer feeds through the pan, and there is a hole in the block just forward of the starter, you can knock the plug out with a punch, there is no step or shoulder, just tap straight thru.
Note.... If you use the Hummer sump, the lower bell housing to sump bolt hole on the right will be out. So no bolt going in that. And dont forget to seal the 4 corners on the pan gasket where the seams are on the block. Or they will leak
