I don't think I mentioned the belt drive before, it's made by Kwik Performance, their kit k10291 - it was the best alternative I could find that didn't either hang way out to the side or go really high above the motor. I bought it as a package when I ordered the Vintage Air system - uses a Sanden 7176 type mini compressor.

Finally got an airbox base made that I'm happy with


Mounted up to the fender, with the trimmed airbox base set in. It's a TIGHT fit, when I do this the final time I'm going to use sealant to glue it in there, and put some truss head screws through the base from the inside to hold it together.

I'm going to build a sheetmetal box underneath, but not sure if I'm just going to draw air from the engine bay or run it up forward somewhere. Thinking maybe just running it down the inner fender and drawing from the space in the back of the fender...

And I have enough clearance for the hood spring as well as the A/C lines and compressor.


My MAF should be here tomorrow, so I can work on getting the rest of the intake plumbed up.
