My diverter flap was bad also. I decided to try and fix it and if it didn't work, I was no worse off and would have had to buy one anyway. I cut two small pieces of sheet metal and used some epoxy and sort of buttered both pieces of sheet metal and put on both sides of the rubber flapper and used a couple pairs of vise grips to hold it in place and let it dry for 2 days. That was last summer, still working like a charm. Sorry, wish I had taken some pics but didn't. Visualize a sandwich with the sheet metal being the bread and the rubber flapper being the meat. Oops, just made myself hungry, gotta go...
