Makes sense.

Once upon a time, I thought I heard the 396 heads had larger ports and therefore more compression. If I recall, it was 10:1 Vs 8.5/1. The heads on my rebuild came off a 396. Note: I don't know a lot about engines. I just did the R and R, with my buddy who led.
