Re: Which is bad, Fuel gauge or resistor?

Very common when the resistor goes bad. It will not allow the gauge needle to move past 1/4 tank.

When you take the resistor off, the ohm reading across the resistor should be somewhere around 100 ohms give or take a few.

If you have bought a new aftermarket gauge, it will have a built in resistor and there is no need for the external one.

If you need a resistor for your OE fuel gauge, send me your address on a PM and I will drop one in the mail for you.

Curious to see how this turns out.

Hope this helps,
Tom
