That should be it. Unless the driveshaft has a slip joint somewhere else it has to have a slip yoke at the tranny. When your rear suspension travels the distance from the rear pinion yoke to the transmission tail shaft changes. The yoke in the back of the transmission is able to slide in and out to compensate for this.
