The knob will come off that shaft. Before I had been told how to do it I just pulled like a mo-fo and it popped back off. You can only do this about 3 times before havint to get the super glue out though.
I don't recomend this...mater of fact, forget I even mentioned it. Follow what they said and you'll be better off.
