Re: Project: Patina (1949 Chevrolet 1434)

Had a pretty productive day yesterday. I moved all the trucks around so I'll have access to them over winter. I wanted to get them moved before it started to snow.

The plan is to get the 5 window cab removed from the chassis this coming weekend and on to the cab dolly so I can roll it into the garage. I'd like to get the 3/4 ton chassis out of my yard as soon as I can once thats done.

I bought some 5000lbs wheel dollies from Princess Auto and they actually worked way better than I had expected. Money well spent IMO.

The night before I moved the trucks around I started removing the fenders from the 49' so it'd be ready for the cab to be pulled. After it took me an hour in the ill lit tent to get one fender off I called it quits.

It'll be much easier now that its on my driveway under the flood light.

First I pushed the 51 out from behind my garage and into the alley way.

Then I hooked up a strap to the back of my S10 to the 49 and pulled it from the tent.
