Help buying a towable Whisperwatt generator

I'd like to buy a Whisperwatt generator for my house. I have 600A service so by code I would need a 150,000 watt unit. I don't plan to weld in the hot tub while baking a turkey, so I figure 70kVA should get me by.

There's one on eBay that looks promising, but it's been on there for a month unsold. The hour meter is broken, which probably doesn't help.

What should I be asking the seller? If it were a truck I'd look for a leakdown or at least compression test, but it's a John Deere 90hp diesel, which I know nothing about, and a genset that I know even less about.

My plan is to have the 600A transfer switch installed at the house and then park this beside it, wire it to the input lugs, and manually throw it over when I need to. I've opted to go diesel because we're in a major earthquake zone and I don't think it's wise to rely on natural gas lasting long after a seismic event.

Thanks for any guidance!
