We always called the steel white spoke rims Sand Rims. I've had so many incarnations of that rim on just about every buggy I owned back in the 70s. I can't run another set, tired of them. They were cheap and a dime a dozen... and that fit the bill! If I remember correctly I think they started out with fewer fatter spokes.
