Door glass thickness is different in 73-80 and 81-up trucks iirc. This means there may be a difference in the lower channel guide which bolts inside the door shell. Not 100% sure but maybe somebody can chime in with more info. I have a couple NOS LH 81-up vent assemblies w/glass and they list a different GM # for 80-older.
