If rockautos measurments are correct on their tanks. The 40 gal is 6.25" longer than the 31. I can't move the rear xmember back bc I converted to shortbed and will actually be cutting that extra off so it doesn't stick out past tailgate.

Yeah I think that would work for shocks but was hoping to be able to run outside of frame. No clue yet but that's an idea.
