I bought one of those Ebay distributors [on your recommendation] when my Pertronix II took a dive, but never used it. I went back to points, since it seems I'd have to convert from EVR and OEM alternator to new internally-regulated alternator, since the EVRs tend to spike the modules at higher RPM.
I may yet go to the HEI, if I update the alternator -- probably around October, since this old Tank still has to pass smog emissions in AZ.
Could you post the p/n for the DUI unit? And give us a review of how well it works.
Points work great -- if you remember to change them twice a year and haven't donated your dwell meter to the Smithsonian. I had a backlog of nos L6 ignition stuff.
